The room was comfy and with comfortable beds. Welcoming and amicable staff who were always there to help. The hotel had a central location on the hills.
Well, the area was not so great overall.

The hotel was in a perfect and magnificent location just next door to a pub with a beer garden, many hiking trails and the Derwent Water ferry into Keswick. Also, a local museum was at a short distance.

It was neat, the staff was amicable and pleasant, plus the service was efficient. The hotel was in an ideal location, to coast. Moreover, it was right by Derwentwater to Keswick, very close to Keswick and the Swinside Farmhouse. Totally recommend this place and will be back.

The place was nicely decorated and relaxing, we enjoyed it. The bathroom in our double room was good size. The breakfast was gorgeous, with nice selection of coffee, tea, toast, and cereal. The daily service was welcoming. All in all our stay was great, nothing too much trouble.
The hotel staff was kind of rude.

This hotel is a real gem in the stunning Newlands Valley, offering a peaceful and scenic location away from the tourist hub. The views of the surrounding countryside from the rooms are simply breathtaking. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located across from a charming 17th-century tavern, adding to the overall charm of the place. The rooms are comfortable with good en-suite facilities and have a nice touch of attention to detail. The breakfast served is of great quality with good ingredients, ensuring a delicious start to the day.
All was spot on, nothing to fault here.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming B&B in the hills outside of town. The location was perfect, with stunning views and great walks right at my doorstep. The room was comfortable and clean, with a delightful touch of shortbread waiting for me. The host, Jo, was incredibly helpful and friendly, offering lots of information about the local area. The cooked breakfast was excellent, and I also enjoyed the convenience of the pub across the way, serving delicious evening meals.
The only minor issue was some occasional creaking noises, but it was a small detail in an otherwise wonderful stay.
